In the novel 'Sons and Lovers' by D. H. Lawrence of chapter one begins with the setting of the place 'The Bottom' where Mr. and Mrs Morel lives. Mrs. Morel is a pregnant mother and a seamstress who shows much affections to her other children, William, 7 and Annie, 5. William has a more closer connection with his mother more than her poor, so-called, drunkard of a husband who keeps her life miserable and only bringing more suffering to her life. He is a liar and a emotional abuser.
Before time, the Morel's life, rather marital affair was perfect then it started to decreased to very good and presently it hits rock bottom. However, despite, all of this Mrs.. Morel's life is now dedicated to his children.
